ACPD on scene of an incident where items were thrown from an apartment

There is a significant police presence outside a North Arlington apartment complex this evening.

ARLnow saw several Arlington County Police patrol cars outside the Carlyn Place apartment building at 4390 Lorcom Lane, near the Lee Heights Shops, around 5:15 p.m. This followed what was described as a “domestic” incident earlier in the afternoon in which someone threw items from one of the units, striking cars parked below.

The items could still be seen scattered around the parking lot. One officer kept people away from the scene. Another officer could be seen in the lobby of the building.

The exact nature of the ongoing incident — whether it’s a standoff or something else — wasn’t immediately clear. ACPD did not respond to ARLnow’s request for more information at the time of publication.
