According to police, the incident began shortly before midnight Sunday night after a tip was received that a man was wanted for murder at the New Kensington bar.

The Tarentum Police Department then contacted the New Kensington Police Department to confirm the tip they had received and learned that a certain Miller was wanted for multiple counts of attempted murder in connection with an incident in June 2023.

Officers from several surrounding agencies responded and helped cordon off the bar, but Miller left the area in a vehicle belonging to another person.

Officers eventually found Miller in the weeds nearby. He was arrested and turned over to the New Kensington Police Department.

According to court records, Miller was arraigned on Monday morning.

His bail was denied and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for early next month.
