The aspiring police officer meets her heroes in Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — Fall River residents may soon see an increased police presence in the city, but there’s no reason to worry: It’s just a young police officer and her friends working to keep everyone safe.

In a social media post, Massachusetts State Police said the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Unit was working with Fall River officers last week when a young girl wearing her own police uniform spotted them.

Police said the girl, who told them she wanted to be a police officer when she grew up, asked if she and her friends could take a photo with some of the female officers.

The social media post included the hashtags #futuretrooper and #girlpower.
