Shots fired at occupied home, investigation ongoing, Hillsborough police say

HILLSBOROUGH, NC (WNCN) — Hillsborough Police say an investigation is ongoing after someone fired multiple shots into an occupied home in the middle of the night this week.

At around 12:52 a.m. Thursday morning, officers said they were called to the 500 block of Central Avenue after at least one person reported hearing gunshots in the area.

When officers arrived, they found that a house had been damaged by multiple gunshots.

There were people in the house at the time of the shooting, but no injuries were reported, according to police.

According to investigators, this appears to be an isolated case.
