Tempe police investigate possible gun incident outside school

Police said the people involved in the altercation left the campus before officers arrived.

TEMPE, Arizona – A temporary curfew was imposed at Kyrene De Los Ninos Elementary School Thursday morning following an incident in the school’s parking lot.

According to police, there was an altercation between three people, one of whom allegedly pulled out a firearm. When police arrived on the scene, the two had already fled the campus.

Police said there is currently no threat to the school community, but security forces will be increased after classes end this afternoon. The investigation is ongoing.
