Bills rookie Keon Coleman wears bracelet made by young fan

Letter and bracelets from Logan Bittner to Bills rookie Keon Coleman

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Keon Coleman quickly became a fan favorite during his short time as Buffalo Bill.

He first went viral for his fashion advice, wearing a large yellow puffer jacket during his first press conference. Now he’s viral again thanks to a clothing connection made with a young fan.

It all started with a letter. Logan Bittner of Spencerport wanted to make sure the recruit received a warm welcome. In it, he wrote down some tips, including where Coleman should go to find the best pizza in the area and ways to eat his favorite Wegmans chocolate chip cookies.

“I try to welcome everyone and I try to be as nice as possible,” Logan said.

Since last summer, the 10-year-old has made friendship bracelets for Bills fans to hand out at training camp. He also made sure some of his favorite players – including Josh Allen, Khalil Shakir and Damar Hamlin – got one.

He decided he needed to include one in his letter to Coleman to show the rookie what the Bills Mafia is all about. He received help from his mother, Krystle.

“I still want to support him. I thought it would be fun,” she said. “I definitely didn’t think it was going to turn into anything.”

Logan sent the letter earlier this month. Fast forward to the NFL Players Association rookie premiere, and the two spotted Coleman wearing something familiar.

“I had seen a few comments on rookie posts the Bills posted that were like, ‘Oh, he wears Bills bracelets too,’ and I was like that’s weird,” Krystle said. “I zoomed in (on the photos) and I was like, no, these are definitely the ones we sent, and it’s kind of crazy!”

Now, Logan is once again preparing for training camp this summer where he hopes to meet Coleman.

“If he comes to me and I yell at him, because I do that to every player to get their attention and get them to come to me,” Logan said. “I’ll say, ‘Keon, these are my bracelets!'”
