Teen allegedly stabbed following road rage incident in Hampton

A teenager suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after he was allegedly stabbed in a traffic accident in Hampton, police said. Hampton police said they received a call around 9:10 p.m. Friday reporting a fight between two people in two vehicles on High Street. A teenager suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after he was allegedly stabbed in a traffic accident in Hampton, police said.

Hampton police said they received a call around 9:10 p.m. Friday reporting a fight between two people in two vehicles on High Street.

When officers arrived, one of the vehicles involved left the scene, police said.

Police said a reported road rage incident led to an altercation between a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man. The 18-year-old is said to have stabbed the 17-year-old with a knife, police said.

The 17-year-old took himself to the hospital, where he was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

It is assumed that the parties knew each other and it was apparently an isolated case, the police said.

The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed, police said.
