Sources: Two boys attacked for suspected anti-Semitic hate crime in NYC

BED-STUY, Brooklyn (PIX11) – An attack on two boys in Bed-Stuy last Sunday is being investigated as an anti-Semitic hate crime, sources told PIX11 News.

The boys, ages 11 and 13, were playing on a sidewalk on Franklin Avenue when a man on a bicycle approached them and yelled, “Get off the sidewalk!” sources said.


According to authorities, the man allegedly got off his bike and pushed the 13-year-old to the ground before kicking and punching the 11-year-old in the back.

The man fled the scene on his bicycle south on Franklin Avenue toward Willoughby Avenue, police said.

The man is described as being between 18 and 20 years old. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a black and white striped shirt, light blue jeans and white sneakers with stripes.
