Another chance to see the Northern Lights! – Boston 25 News

SATURDAY NIGHT

It will be another cool Saturday evening with temperatures ranging from 50 to 40 degrees shortly after dark. Skies will remain partly clear until after midnight. This is important because there is a chance of seeing the Northern Lights again if you move away from the city lights!

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

NEXT WEEK

Sunday will be cloudy, but it will stay dry for most of us! A brief shower or drizzle is possible, but no rain showers. Since it’s Mother’s Day, it’s a good idea to have a backup plan for outdoor activities just in case! Late in the evening the sky clears again… and guess what? We have another good chance to see the Northern Lights before solar geomagnetic activity subsides.

The warmup returns early next week with 60s on Monday and 70s on Tuesday. This also marks the time when there will be some showers thanks to a number of approaching fronts. The best chance of rain will be on Wednesday, and this has the potential to be drenching.

Stay with us as we continue to keep an eye on next week’s forecast!
