Travel delays near Road Atlanta side streets expected during weekend events

Hall County Sheriff’s deputies expect traffic delays in the area of ​​5300 Winder Highway/Ga. 53 for Drift Atlanta events. Motorists will experience heavy traffic in the area until Saturday evening, May 11. The most significant delays are expected at the start of Friday evening’s events around 6:00 p.m. and at the end of the main event on Saturday evening, between 10:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

Commuters should be advised that Saturday evening, southbound traffic on Ga. 53/Winder Highway will be detoured to Ga. 211/Tanners Mill Road. Northbound vehicles will be directed to Benefield Road.

The Saturday evening detour is expected to last until approximately 11:30 p.m.
