Florida man arrested on sex abuse charges, sodomy charges in Dallas County

A Florida man has been arrested for sexually abusing two teenage women, according to Selma police.

According to court documents obtained by Action 8 News, 30-year-old Adam William Hart had sexual intercourse with a 6-year-old female between June 18, 2023 and March 15, 2024.

The incident occurred at the mother’s home in Dallas County while she was at work. Hart is accused of first-degree sodomy and sexual abuse in this case.

According to court documents, between June 28, 2023 and July 18, 2023, Hart had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old female. In this case, he is charged with first-degree sodomy, second-degree sodomy and second-degree rape.

On April 25, Selma police, with the help of human resources, received information that Hart was in the state of Florida under an assumed name.

Selma Police Department detectives contacted the Levy County Sheriff’s Office to assist in locating the suspect.
