Three people were hospitalized, one of whom is in serious condition, after a crash Thursday afternoon in Texas County, Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported around 5 p.m. Thursday that a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek and a 2018 Chevy Colorado were traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 64 approximately 11 miles north and six miles west of Goodwell, Oklahoma.

According to OHP, the Colorado attempted to make a U-turn and struck the Crosstrek on the driver’s side, causing the Subaru to roll a quarter turn and come to rest on the driver’s side. The Chevy veered off the road to the left and ended up in the ditch.

The driver of the Crosstrek, 42-year-old Feather A. Metsch of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was transported to Guymon Airport by Guymon, Oklahoma EMS. She was transferred from Apollo Evac to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas, where she was in serious condition with hip, back, neck and arm injuries.

The driver of the Colorado, Kathryn E. Maravilla, 25, of Guymon, was taken by private vehicle to Memorial Hospital of Texas County. She was treated and released as a one-year-old child from Guymon.

OHP said seat belts were in use in both vehicles.
