Central Florida suspect arrested after threatening former employer

A 39-year-old Central Florida suspect who was upset about a paycheck was arrested after threatening his former employer with a firearm.

On July 22, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office officers responded to the 4400 block of Eagle Falls Place near Tampa, where a former employee, upset over a paycheck, confronted the manager, pulled out a concealed weapon and threatened to kill everyone.

The suspect, 39-year-old Tito Evan-Lloyd, then fled the area. HCSO officers responded and found the suspect at a residence in the 400 block of Royal Palm Empress Drive in Ruskin.

The Central Florida suspect was arrested and now faces several charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, concealed carrying of a firearm and illegal possession of a firearm.

“It is shocking that someone would resort to such extreme measures over a $75 matter. Violence and intimidation have no place in Hillsborough County,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “The suspect’s actions were a serious threat to public safety and our officers did an excellent job of quickly taking him into custody.”

According to local law enforcement, this investigation is still ongoing.
