Two injured after shooting in Aurora, police said

AURORA, Colorado – Police say two people were injured in a shooting early Sunday.

The incident was first reported around 4:30 a.m. in the area of ​​East 16th Avenue and Nome Street.

According to police spokesman Sydney Edwards, police received several reports of gunshots.

They found two adult men with gunshot wounds, one of them critically injured, Edwards said.

An adult man was taken away from the scene of the accident with a broken ankle.

It is unclear what led to the shooting and there is no information on the suspect, Edwards told Denver7.

Several roads around the accident scene were closed.
