Armie Hammer’s mother addresses her son’s rape allegations and ‘morally’ wrong cannibalism accusations

Dru Hammer, Armie Hammer’s mother, supports her son’s statement that he never raped anyone or committed cannibalism – even though several women claim the opposite.

“I would never say Armie did everything right, because he didn’t,” she told the Daily Mail on Saturday.

“Morally he was wrong. But I know my son wasn’t out there eating people. I know that. And Armie didn’t rape anyone. I knew he was morally wrong, but this was insane.”

In March 2021, Effie Angelova accused Armie, now 37, of “violently” raping her “mentally, emotionally and sexually” during their four-year affair when he was married to Elizabeth Chambers.

The “Social Network” star’s lawyer claimed at the time that his client and his lover had “fetishes or perverse sexual desires” that were “completely consensual and discussed and agreed upon in advance.”

However, Angelova’s allegations were fueled by statements from another of Armie’s ex-girlfriends, Courtney Vucekovich. Among other things, the actor once said that he wanted to “grill and eat” her.

Influencer Paige Lorenze, who also dated the “Call Me By Your Name” star, also told Page Six at the time that he used a knife to cut the letter “A” into her skin near her vagina and allegedly intentionally bruised her to brand her.

Leaked text messages also revealed that Armie once told a lover, “I’m 100% a cannibal… damn, that’s scary to admit” and “I’ve cut the heart out of a live animal before and eaten it while it was still warm. Completely raw. Still warm… I’d eat your heart if I didn’t have to sit here without you afterwards.”

Dru now claims the scandal “unfolded” amid the COVID-19 pandemic when people were “locked down” and was therefore the “perfect storm” as the “craze for new information was at an all-time high.”

The “Hammered” author said she was tempted to defend Armie because “those girls were in (her) house,” but she followed her son’s advice and did not speak to the press because he assured her, “The truth always comes out.”

Lorenze, 26, once claimed that Dru warned her about her son’s “demonic behavior.”

“I didn’t grow up extremely religious, so it was a little bit unrealistic for me, but I felt like she knew he had a very, very dark side,” the model said on “The Dr. Oz Show” in February 2021.

Dru told the Daily Mail that she felt her son was “in the wrong” because he was the “older actor” and the women were younger.

“They were influencers on Instagram or something,” she added. “Did he take advantage of her? Absolutely. He’ll say so himself.”

However, Dru stressed: “Did he do anything criminal? Absolutely not. He was completely exonerated by the police.”

Despite these allegations, no charges were filed against Armie because the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office stated that “sexual assault cases are often difficult to prove.”

“In this case, prosecutors have conducted an extremely thorough review but have concluded that there is insufficient evidence at this time to charge Mr. Hammer with a crime,” an official told Page Six in May 2023.

Dru also praised the “Lone Ranger” star for his recent interview with Piers Morgan, in which he admitted to branding Lorenze with a knife but denied any allegations of rape or cannibalism.

“He didn’t seem nervous – he said my story is my story, he won’t let anyone down,” said the mother of two, adding that she was “really proud of him for telling the truth.”

She concluded by saying, “I love his openness and honesty.”
