Max Verstappen was angry with his Red Bull team after another incident with Lando Norris at the start of the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Verstappen, who started the race in third place, stormed past pole-sitter Norris on the outside at the start of the race and went off the track in the first corner.

Norris lost the lead to his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri on the inside lane, but also lost second place when Verstappen rejoined the track ahead of the British driver.

Norris immediately asked Verstappen over team radio to give up his seat, but the Dutchman initially refused, insisting that Norris had forced him off the track.

However, Verstappen’s engineer Gianpiero Lambiase advised his driver to let Norris pass in order to avoid a possible sporting penalty from the race management.

Verstappen protested before finally letting Norris pass, but his frustration was clearly visible.

He said, “OK, now you can just drive people off the track. You can tell the FIA that we’re going to do this, we’re just going to drive people off the track.”

Piastri is currently leading the Grand Prix ahead of his teammate Norris, while Verstappen is in third place ahead of Lewis Hamilton.

Verstappen leads the world championship before the race with an 84-point lead over Norris.
