The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when 29-year-old Gavin Dasaur, seen in the video, walked toward the white Chevy pickup truck, possibly with the black 9mm pistol in his hand. The footage clearly shows Dasaur attempting to hit the driver of the truck while holding the pistol.

The driver of the pickup truck initially tries to block Dasaur’s blow. Then Dasaur takes the gun in his left hand and continues to insult the driver, aiming at him with his right hand. Suddenly, the driver of the pickup truck draws his own gun and fires several shots at Dasaur, who falls to the ground.

The seven-second video ends with the person filming the incident running to safety in their car amid the chaos.

The driver was initially arrested and later released on suspicion of self-defense

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) reported that the shooting occurred around 8:15 p.m. near the intersection of South Emerson Avenue and Thompson Road.

IMPD stated that the investigation into the shooting and the circumstances of the alleged road rage incident is ongoing. The department continues to collect evidence and witness statements to determine all the details of the tragic event.

However, many witnesses claimed that the confrontation started with an incident of road rage between Dasaur, who was driving a black Honda, and the driver of the white Chevy pickup truck, according to a local news channel. What’s up?.

The driver of the pickup truck was arrested by police after the shooting, but was later released after investigators suspected the driver may have acted in self-defense.

Cinthya Zamora, Dasaur’s wife, expressed her sadness and condemned the shooting: “He was a hard-working man who always went out of his way to help others and who wanted to give the world to me and his family.”
