Deadly shooting reported several blocks from RNC security perimeter – WPXI

MILWAUKEE – A person was shot and killed by an out-of-town police officer a few blocks from the RNC security perimeter in Milwaukee on Tuesday.

NBC affiliate WTMJ reported that witnesses said a man was walking across the street and being chased by police before being shot in the back by a Columbus, Ohio, police officer.

Witnesses told WTMJ that the man was living with them in a nearby homeless camp and was crossing the street when he was shot. They said they heard at least six or seven gunshots.
