Police identify motorcycle crash victim killed in downtown Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) – Austin police on Monday determined the identity of a motorcycle victim who died in a crash last week at the corner of East 45th and Duval streets.

Gordon Yang, 45, was the bicyclist who died in the crash, APD’s news release said. Police said the accident occurred just after 11 p.m. on July 9.

According to police, only Yang was involved in the accident. Yang was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, the APD press release said.

This is Austin’s 42nd fatal accident this year, the press release said. There were 44 fatalities in these accidents.
