Car accident ends in shootout

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – Last night, detectives with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office investigated a shooting that occurred over an argument that broke out in a parking lot following a car crash, leaving one man hospitalized and another in jail.

Deondrick Anderson, 49, and Jordan Glanz, 27, were in a car crash in the parking lot of the Oneco Rose Bar on Cortez Road in Bradenton. During the argument, Anderson was shot once in the torso and Glanz left the scene.

Anderson was taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition. Glanz later contacted officers and claimed he shot Anderson in self-defense. Based on witness testimony and other evidence, Glanz was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The investigation is ongoing.
