Mansfield man killed in two-car crash in Franklin Township

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a Jeep and a 1986 Pontiac Fiero Tuesday afternoon in Richland County.

According to police, 73-year-old Joseph Crose was driving east on Amoy West Road when he failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a Jeep traveling southeast on Bowman Street. Crose was pronounced dead at the scene.

OSHP did not provide any further information about the driver of the Jeep.

The accident remains under investigation
