Police say woman found dead after hit-and-run in Old Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – A woman was killed in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Old Louisville Sunday evening.

At around 10 p.m., Louisville Metro Police responded to a call that a person was on the ground in the 900 block of South First Street, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers on scene found the body of an “apparently dead” woman in the back alley of the address. Investigators believe she was struck and killed by a vehicle at that location.

The LMPD Traffic Unit is leading this investigation. There is currently no information on a possible suspect or his vehicle.
