One man killed, three others injured after boating accident in NYC

A man and three other people were killed when two ships collided in Brooklyn and the occupants were thrown through the air, police said.

The fatal incident occurred after 11:50 a.m. near Plumb Beach in Gerritsen Creek, police said.

A 58-year-old man, a 56-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were on one of the boats and a 68-year-old man was on the second, New York police said.

The 58-year-old man, who underwent CPR at the scene, was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health in critical condition but later died, an NYPD spokesman told The Post.

The 56-year-old man and 45-year-old woman were taken to Coney Island Hospital in stable condition, police said.

The 68-year-old was treated on site for minor injuries, authorities said.

The New York police initially did not provide any information about the cause of the accident.

“There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing,” the department spokesman said.
