Principal of Statesboro High School arrested

Police arrested Statesboro High School Principal Dr. Marty Waters on Friday on charges of failing to report sexual abuse of a child in a timely manner. Waters was arrested last week as part of an investigation into reported sexual assaults by two SHS assistant coaches on two different 16-year-old girls. He was charged with failure to report child abuse, a misdemeanor, and taken to the Bulloch County Jail and held on $2,000 bail.
