76-year-old man found guilty of sexually abusing a young child

A 76-year-old man was found guilty by a jury last week of sexually abusing a young girl in 2018.

Joseph Jackson of Pennsauken was found guilty Friday of two counts of sexual assault and two additional counts of endangering the welfare of a child, the Camden County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release.

Jackson was arrested on March 5, 2019, for sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl, officials said. The assaults allegedly occurred at Jackson’s home in Pennsauken and another location in Riverton, Burlington County, prosecutors said.

His sentencing is scheduled for December 6.
