Fatal accident on I-190 Sunday morning

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A man died early Sunday morning and another person was seriously injured after a car lost control and struck a center median, according to New York State Police.

At approximately 2:10 a.m., officers responded to the southbound lane of I-190 near Exit 8 in the City of Buffalo where the driver of a 2000 Nissan Altima lost control of the off-ramp. .

Officers said the driver, Damaree M. Lattimore, 20, of Hamburg, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, aged 19, was thrown from the car and seriously injured.

Lattimore was taken to Erie County Medical Center for an autopsy.

This incident remains under investigation.
