Bradford County man arrested for allegedly strangling woman

MONROE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WETM) – A Monroe Township man faces multiple charges after police say he strangled and assaulted his girlfriend.

Bryce Fretz, 27, was arrested on June 26 in connection with a June 22 assault. According to the Pennsylvania State Police Department, Fretz strangled his 33-year-old girlfriend and struck her in the face with his knee. After the incident was reported to police, officers were unable to find Fretz at any of his known locations.

Fretz was charged with strangulation (second-degree felony), simple assault (second-degree misdemeanor), and false imprisonment (second-degree misdemeanor).

Fretz is currently being held in the Bradford County Jail on $75,000 bail. He was arraigned on June 26 and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 3.
