Martin Police Investigate Monday Night Shooting

PRESS RELEASE FROM MARTIN POLICE:

Last night, June 24, 2024, at around 9:02 p.m., a victim reported that his vehicle had been shot at on Main Street near the intersection with Virginia Street.

The victim stated that an SUV passed him on Main Street and missed a stop sign at the intersection of Main Street and College Street.

As the SUV approached Virginia St., it stopped in front of the victim’s vehicle. A white male passenger got out of the passenger side with a handgun.

The victim drove around the SUV and as he did so, the perpetrator fired several shots at the victim’s vehicle. He got to safety and called 911 to report the incident.

The SUV left the area in an unknown direction.

Further investigation revealed that the victim’s vehicle had been struck by two of the bullets fired during the incident. The victim was uninjured.
