Man dead after shooting in Norfolk, police said

NORFOLK, Virginia – A man is dead after a shooting in Norfolk early Monday, police said.

Norfolk police are investigating a shooting in the 700 block of East Little Creek Road. Dispatch received the call around 1:25 a.m.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene and a suspect is in custody.

A cook-out restaurant was cordoned off while police investigated the scene. Another man was also grazed by a bullet.

The police say they will release further information as soon as it becomes available.
