On Tuesday, Pastor Jason Paynter’s three daughters were traveling when they were involved in a serious traffic accident.

Her eldest daughter, 17-year-old Raelyn, died in the accident.

16-year-old Isabella Reece barely survived. She suffered life-threatening injuries and had to undergo emergency brain surgery. Isabella remains in critical condition.

Fortunately, her third daughter, 13-year-old Lainey, survived unharmed.

Friends of the couple and people whose lives Pastor Jason had touched with his ministry came to mourn the sad news.

Stephanie Robertson wrote on Facebook: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friends’ daughter, Raelyn Paynter! All the Paynter girls have been so good to our RNLT girls over the years and have been for a long time. Please pray for Reese, she has made it through the surgery but the next 24 hours are critical,”

The Jackson Avenue Church of God also had a message for the family: “Please pray for Brother Jason Paynter’s family… his three daughters were in a serious car accident today. His oldest daughter (Raelyn) died, middle daughter (Reese) is in intensive care after surgery for a brain hemorrhage – the next 24 hours are very critical for her. The youngest is expected to recover. He pastors the church a block from ours and has filled in for us many times.”
