17-year-old injured in accident

On Monday afternoon, around 3:07 p.m., a two-vehicle accident occurred 4 miles west of Ensign on US 56.

A 2009 Chevy Impala, driven by a 17-year-old from Meade, and a 2017 Nissan Murano, driven by 50-year-old Kristy Warnock of Hardesty, were traveling westbound on US 56 at mile marker 102. Warnock slowed due to dust and poor visibility and the 17-year-old rear-ended her vehicle.

The 17-year-old was taken to Meade District Hospital with minor injuries. Warnock was not injured.
