Addison’s new police chief, Chris Freis, takes office

On Monday, June 10, Addison welcomed its new Police Chief Chris Freis, who officially took office after being sworn in by Judge Larry Dwight. Police Chief Freis told the City Council at its June 11 meeting that he is incredibly grateful to be a part of the city and looks forward to building on the great work his predecessors have already accomplished.

The public is invited to attend a ceremonial swearing-in event on Wednesday, July 10 at 5 p.m. at the Addison Conference Center. This is an opportunity for the community to get to know Chief Freis and welcome him to Addison.
