One person was injured and two people were arrested after a shooting on the US 20 bypass in South Bend.

It was just after 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, when South Bend police were called to St. Joseph Valley Parkway and Brick Road because shots had been fired on the bypass.

During their investigation, officers received additional information regarding a possible victim of a vehicle shooting on the US 20 Bypass east of Ironwood Drive.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Two people were arrested during the investigation.

Initial findings suggest that the shooting may have been the result of an incident of road rage, but the investigation is ongoing.
