SAN ANTONIO – The longtime CEO of Laurel Ridge Treatment Center faces charges that he sexually abused a young girl for years.

44-year-old Jacob Cuellar is accused of continued sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14.

According to his online file, the crime dates back to 2022.

A grand jury indicted him earlier this week. An arrest warrant was issued and Cuellar was arrested on Thursday.

His indictment lists two alleged serious sexual assaults and one case of indecent sexual assault of a child with contact with the same victim.

Cuellar posted his $75,000 bail on Friday and was released from jail on the condition that he have no contact with anyone under the age of 17, with the exception of some listed family members, and not possess a firearm.

KSAT has contacted Laurel Ridge regarding Cuellar’s arrest and we are still waiting for a response.

The institution’s website no longer lists Cuellar as CEO, instead stating that Chris Barela, the chief financial officer, is serving as interim CEO.
