Cyclist killed in accident in southeast Kansas

WICHITA, Kansas (KWCH) – A cyclist died after being struck by a car in Neosho County on Tuesday.

The accident occurred shortly before noon at the entrance to Santa Fe Park, near Santa Fe and 21st Street.

The Kansas Highway Patrol’s online accident report states that a Chevrolet Camaro was turning right into Santa Fe Park when the bicycle collided with the rear of the car.

Harvey Love, 67, of Chanute, was taken to the University of Kansas Medical Center where he died of his injuries. The driver of the Camaro was uninjured.
