Jamal Murray fined $100,000 and avoids suspension over heating pad incident –

Former Kentucky star Jamal Murray was fined $100,000 on Tuesday for throwing a heating pad toward a referee during Denver’s 106-80 Game 2 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.

Surprisingly, Murray did not receive a ban.

The penalty was announced by Joe Dumars, the NBA’s executive vice president and head of basketball operations:
