Buffalo firefighters respond to east side call

BUFFALO, NY — A house fire occurred in the early morning hours, just before 3:20 a.m. on June 8.

The house, on Olympic Avenue, was empty. Damage is estimated at approximately $100,000.

The fire was extinguished around 3:30 a.m., when firefighters were seen opening doors and windows to vent the smoke.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
