One dead in rare shooting on Panama campus

At least one person was killed in a rare shooting on a campus in Panama after a man opened fire on a group of university students, the head of the university said on Friday.

Another person was injured in the attack, which involved an unknown gunman, said the rector of the University of Panama, Eduardo Flores, on the social media platform X.

He said the victims were agricultural science students.
