Police: 14-year-old on bicycle hit by car

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – According to Port St. Lucie police, a 14-year-old child was struck by a car Wednesday evening.

This happened at the intersection of Southwest Tradition Parkway and Southwest Village Parkway.

When emergency responders arrived, the child was reportedly conscious and breathing and was flown by helicopter to St. Mary’s Hospital.

Police said they did not know the cause of the accident as the situation was still unclear.
