Police and SWAT respond to incident on Greenwich Avenue in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut (WTNH) — Police and a SWAT team were dispatched to the area of ​​Howard and Greenwich Avenues and First and Second Streets Tuesday evening, resulting in the site being cordoned off.

At around 8:30 p.m., News 8 reported that police officers with guns were heading toward an apartment building on Greenwich Avenue when a SWAT team entered the building. Three people were arrested and taken into custody.


Investigators did not release any details about what happened at the scene or whether anyone was injured.
