Suspects in custody after chase ends on Palmetto Expressway in Miami-Dade – NBC 6 South Florida

Several suspects were arrested after a police chase ended on the Palmetto Expressway in Miami-Dade on Wednesday afternoon.

Aerial footage from Helicopter 6 showed several officers in unmarked vehicles as well as Miami-Dade police pursuing a silver SUV that was weaving through traffic on Palmetto Street at high speed.

At one point, the SUV grazed a vehicle parked on the shoulder, narrowly missing a person standing behind the vehicle.

The SUV eventually came to a stop north of Northwest 57th Avenue and was surrounded by officers with guns drawn.

The driver and at least one other person from the vehicle were arrested.

It is not known what led to the chase.
