Pedestrian killed on Freeway 10 in Santa Monica

A pedestrian was killed on Tuesday when he was fatally struck by a vehicle on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway.

California Highway Patrol officers were called to the westbound freeway and the Fourth Street exit, where they found the victim, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.

The pedestrian, whose name, gender or age were not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
