Driver crashes stolen Lamborghini during San Diego police chase through La Jolla – NBC 7 San Diego

A driver suspected of stealing a Lamborghini crashed in La Jolla on Tuesday after being pursued by San Diego police.

According to the San Diego Police Department, officers responded to a report that a 2024 Lamborghini had been stolen in a burglary. They found the vehicle near La Jolla Parkway and Via Del Norte.

According to police, the driver of the stolen vehicle did not stop, resulting in a chase along La Jolla Boulevard.

The driver was traveling on La Jolla Hermosa Avenue when the Lamborghini collided with another vehicle near Kirkwood Place, SDPD said.

The Lamborghini was involved in another accident near La Jolla Boulevard and Midway Street, where the driver was arrested, police said.

One officer was injured in the first collision and another person in the second collision, police said. Police did not confirm the extent of the injuries.

Both collisions are being investigated by SDPD’s Traffic Division. SDPD’s North Division will investigate the burglary and auto theft cases.
