Two men shot at pool party in west Houston

A pool party in west Houston turned violent in the early hours of Monday morning, ending with two men being shot.

The incident occurred around 12:50 a.m. at 10940 Meadowglen when an altercation broke out during the noisy gathering. According to reports, the altercation escalated when an individual, disturbed by the party in progress, came out and opened fire on the attendees. Both victims were shot in the buttocks.

Emergency services attended the scene and both men were taken to a nearby hospital. Both victims are expected to survive their injuries.

The Houston Police Department is investigating the incident.
