Eddie Rosario scores again for the Braves: “I love this moment”

After a rain delay on Friday and a rain delay on Saturday, the Braves finally played and beat the Cardinals 3-2 in 10 innings on Saturday afternoon, with left fielder Eddie Rosario leading the way.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, Rosario stepped up to the plate as the crowd chanted “Eddie, Eddie.” He responded immediately by hitting a home run to right field that tied the score at 2-2.

Rosario enjoyed his return to the Braves, for whom he played from mid-2021 to 2023. Fans are certainly excited to have the 2021 National League Championship Series MVP back.

“I feel blessed,” Rosario said. “I love every time my name is called. It’s a great feeling.”

Of Rosario’s hits, Braves manager Brian Snitker said: “He hit two big hits, that one in Arizona (July 8) to score the tying run (in the ninth inning). Like I said, he’s got no pulse, for sure. The situation’s not going to bother him. He’s an aggressive guy.”

Snitker said the Braves’ rehiring of Rosario this month after his release by Washington was “an easy choice.”
