Man wanted for child endangerment and domestic violence in Tracy

A man at the center of a domestic violence incident that led to a shelter-in-place order for Tracy residents Thursday is being sought by police. Tracy police said Jose Rodriguez-Remigio is wanted in connection with an incident that resulted in several victims being taken to the hospital for treatment. Officers responded to the domestic violence incident in the area of ​​Winston Court and Colony Drive just before 9 p.m. Thursday. Officials did not elaborate on the incident but said the victims were taken to a local hospital where their injuries were treated and later released. Based on witness statements, officers believe Rodriguez-Remigio fled to a nearby home and barricaded himself inside. Police said SWAT, a crisis negotiation team and tactical dispatchers responded to try to apprehend the suspect. At that time, police asked residents in the area to get to safety. After several hours, according to police, officers entered the home and found that Rodriguez-Remigio had run out the back of the property before officers arrived. Shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to the domestic violence incident in the area of ​​Winston Court and Colony Drive.
