Man arrested at Gwinnett County home after picking up 14-year-old North Carolina girl – WSB-TV Channel 2

GWINNETT COUNTY, Georgia – A man has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of a teenager.

Investigators from the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office’s Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation (TRACE) and Gang Crime Units have arrested Kevin Carcamo-Garcia in connection with the disappearance of a 14-year-old North Carolina girl.

On July 3, TRACE and gang investigators were contacted by the United States Marshals to assist in the search for the 14-year-old girl.

According to investigators, Carcamo-Garcia is said to have had a relationship with the minor.

He was arrested at his home in Gwinnett County.

According to investigators, Carcamo-Garcia admitted to “illegally transporting” the girl from North Carolina to Georgia.

LATEST STORIES:

The girl was safely transported to the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS), where she was released to her mother.

Carcamo-Garcia is accused of rape and child abuse.
