Mayor Adams reinforces police force across New York after Pennsylvania shooting

Following the assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Pennsylvania, Mayor Eric Adams sends NYPD officers throughout the city.

“The events that unfolded at today’s rally in Pennsylvania are horrific. Regardless of our differences, we must all agree that violence of any kind is unacceptable. I pray for the safety of former President Trump and anyone else who may have been injured in today’s attack,” Adams said in a statement.

“As we continue to gather more information, we will be increasing the number of officers deployed to specific locations across the five boroughs.”
