Orlando police arrest a man accused of exposing himself to a girl who was walking to school

ORLANDO, Fla. — A 34-year-old man was arrested on charges that he exposed himself to a girl who was attending school in Orlando, police said.

Orlando police arrested Gilmer Mauricio Medina for lewd and lascivious conduct and display and exposure of sexual organs. Video of his arrest was released by police late Monday.

According to investigators, the girl was on her way to Howard Middle School on Friday when the incident occurred near Summerlin Avenue and Washington Street in Thornton Park.

Investigators said Medina was sitting naked in a blue sedan when he followed the girl.

The girl ran away and reported the incident to her mother, who then called police, officials said.

Investigators are working to determine whether this was an isolated incident or whether there were other victims.
