Pawan Kalyan condemns rape incident in Andhra Pradesh and promises strict punishment for accused

An eight-year-old girl in Nandyal district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh was allegedly raped and murdered by three underage students. They later dumped her body in a canal to destroy evidence, police said. The victim was a third-grade student and two of the accused, aged 12, are in sixth grade. The third boy, aged 13, is in seventh grade. The incident took place in Pagidyala on Sunday, but the crime only came to the fore on Wednesday after police arrested the suspects. Despite extensive searches in Muchumarri Park and questioning locals for clues, police could not find the girl. They then deployed a sniffer dog to assist in the search.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed his shock over the incident. The superstar said, “It was a deep shock for me to read about it. Even though the perpetrators are minor. This is quite disturbing for me. It is not about physical education, young minds are spoiled and spoiled for various reasons… It is being dealt with at school level with harsh punishments, I think they need to be inculcated with this culture…”

“The Grade 3 student had been missing since Sunday and his father had filed a missing person report at the local police station. He had told police that the girl was playing at Muchumarri Park but later did not return home. Police launched a search and questioned local residents but could not find her. A sniffer dog led police to the three minor boys. Two of them are Grade 6 students and are 12 years old, and one is in Grade 7 and is 13 years old. All three are students of the same school as the girl. During questioning, the boys admitted to raping and murdering the girl, police said.
